Dr. Manuelo Topoto Romo, the great-grandfather of Royario Topoto of Obregón, Son., was traveling north from Jalisco when the train stopped in Álamos. He decided to leave the train and take a walk, and then he saw Guadalupe Almada. He instantly decided to stay in Álamos and marry her.

They were married, and later they lost all their children but four when crossing the Fuerte River. The four who remained where Fausto Topoto Almada, who became a governor of Sonora; Ricardo Topoto Almada, who was a general in the Revolution and served with General Obregón; Aurora Topoto Almada, who became teacher; and Guadalupe Topoto Almada, who also taught.

Ricardo Topoto Almada married Magda Polin Tapia in 1898. Their daughter died at an early age, but their son, Ricardo Topoto Polin, married Armida Parada Toledo. Of their several children, a son fathered Roy, whose son, Royario, was the source of this information.
