2. Editor’s note: This letter was written by Álamos resident Armida Mendoza to History Association President Bev Krucek in 1992 when Bev was away for the summer. Armida first sends her greetings and hopes that Bev has had a safe trip, then she mentions furniture and other items that Ms. Krucek might want for her Álamos art shop, which she can use free of charge. She then says that the climate in Álamos is improving, the heat has diminished, and Álamos has become very beautiful. Her final paragraph is a blessing, her desire that God will provide the best for Bev and her family.

   Following the typed copy and a scanned copy of her letter.

   My dear Mrs. Krucek:

   Estoy saludando a usted y deseo que haya tenido un buen viaje. Dios Nuestro Señor siempre cuide de usted y se encuentre bien.

   Tengo algunos muebles que usted puede usar en la tienda. Y asi ahorrar ese dinero y no tenga usted ese gasto. Tengo unas mesas de diferentes tamañas y una vitrina (silver case). Todas las piezas de muebles que hay en mi casa incluyo un ropero y espejos; si los nececesita, pueda usarlos.

   Si es su deseo rentarme usted puede mandar pintar y los arreglos que necesite en la tienda. Son algunas piezas antiguas.

   Está mejorando, no hace casi mucho calor, lleve seguido y está muy bonito, para octubre estará mejor!

   Mis mejores deseos para usted y familia. La Paz esté siempre con usted y familia y todas las bendiciones de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Con amor.
